What seems like a failure may actually be providing for fertile soil for something else to grow. <BR/><BR/>I actually think we met back in 2002 at The School of Congregational Development in Washington DC. I believe we had lunch together!KristaBethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11916403128060591562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26751010.post-22018852521399174712007-05-02T16:01:00.000-04:002007-05-02T16:01:00.000-04:00wonderful post- if we refuse to learn from our fai...wonderful post- if we refuse to learn from our failures we will not grow- as you say they provide fertile ground- if we dare to take in the nutrients such humility requires!Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759963926280667938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26751010.post-82414142943089190222007-04-28T13:52:00.000-04:002007-04-28T13:52:00.000-04:00I love the thoughts about failure. I used to have...I love the thoughts about failure. I used to have a sign on my door that says -- "success is a series of repetitive failures." I also thought of some words that John Shea used in commenting on the passage from John 21 about Jesus cooking breakfast on the beach for Peter and company (after Peter had denied Jesus over a charcoal fire). He said: "The food of Peter’s new life is being cooked on the fire of his old failures! Morning only arrives after the night."<BR/><BR/>I love that -- thanks for sharing your thoughts.Mike Matherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16235028237943894027noreply@blogger.com
